My husband and I spent a day driving around the city. We had dropped off the rest of the 9 family members that were with us at Body Glove they were going to go out on a boat and go Scuba and snorkeling. There were many many reasons that we didn't go, first I couldn't see myself paying $120 per person to get to go on a boat that will make me sick plus the snorkeling doesn't go with the whole claustrophobia thing. With the mask tightly fitted around my face and covering my nose and having water all around me - well that doesn't sound like fun to me.
What was fun was driving around town pulling over to the side of the road and looking at paradise! It truly was beautiful.
We ran into the Kona temple - well we ran into Moroni - the temple was actually really hard to find. We drove in circles, We finally had to stop and ask - I told my husband before he went to go ask "only a person that attends the temple is going to know where it is." and I was right the first person said " I would guess you go up one of the roads from below." because eventhough you can see it from the freeway you can't get to it from the freeway. The second person said "I have no clue" then there was a person that overheard the conversation and said "I'm mormon, you go down to the ocean front road and then you turn left on Kalani it's at the end of that dead end road!" and there you have it!
You find some cool stuff just by driving around!
On our way home we also ran into this guy!
and a Lava tunnel. We had to stop! and go spelunking in Hawaii with my daughter Stephanie and my Brother-in-law Josh! Now I know what you are thinking hasn't she been saying over and over again she's claustrophobic! Well actually I'm an Adrenilin junky before I'm claustrophobic, crazy yes, I'm Crazy!
Found this cool spelunking blog post! http://myhawaiianhome.blogspot.com/2010/03/spelunking.html
Aloha!

We went on a cruise to Hawaii and on the map we'd printed online, it looked like it was just a couple blocks from the pier... I wanted to take a cab... Plantar fasciitis gets painful walking... NO! Hubs said it's not FAR... Well, it WAS and it was ALL UP HILL! UGH! I thought I was going to DIE! But I did survive and got some great pix. Here's a link to the gallery with some of my favorites if you're interested in seeing:

by the way, I accidentally unfollowed you yesterday....oops!
Hope you have a great day!
Yes Maria, it is a wild Billy goat, there are lots of wild animals on the big Island, feral cats and dogs and herds of Wild donkeys. There are animals all over the place.
Thank you for your comments, and the 're' follow. I thought I was the only one that did that I accidentally unfollowed a bunch of people on BlogFrog and I'm having a heck of a time finding them again - there were some really cool blogs.
